Turnpike Synergy

Turnpike Synergy Sdn Bhd (TSSB) was incorporated to develop and manage assets for PROLINTAS and it is instrumental to the success of the group’s operations.

Asset Development

Initiation

Initiation

Developing complex infrastructures with national interests requires comprehensive planning right from the start. Often, this means ensuring that preliminary steps such as conceptual study, generating proposals and inception of initial engineering designs as well as the subsequent management of contracts are planned thoroughly, and in line with our client’s goals and objectives.

Strategic Project Planning & Design

Strategic Project Planning & Design

Our planning and design processes are driven by policies, contexts and pragmatic assessments of what is realistically achievable. Having proficient technical and financial professionals on board have aided the process significantly, allowing us to manage projects in detail from planning to execution.

At this stage, our goal is to identify opportunities, methodologies and investments necessary to achieve the highest possible ROI; to sustain momentum towards achieving broader developmental targets; and to position institutions, governments and communities to succeed beyond the life of our engagement.

We also aim to manage social and environmental impacts efficiently via smart engineering solutions, striking the all-important balance between the functional needs of the highways and minimising impact to the surrounding communities.

Prudent Procurement & Contract Management

Managing contracts is crucial, considering the multifaceted operations involved in a large-scale construction project. Our experience in completing projects ahead of schedule, coupled with in-depth knowledge on effective procurement strategies, ISO certified processes, cost estimation, cost control management, contract administration and dispute resolution, are essential in strengthening our transparent and prudent practices.

Construction Management

To achieve the desired end results, professional supervision and quality control measures are necessary. We take lead by initiating construction management efforts such as overall planning, dynamic coordination and prudent control to deliver projects that meet client’s functional and financial requirements.

Environmental Management

We are committed to set new standards in environmental performance while staying compliant with relevant legislation and requirements. At all times and at all levels of the company’s business operation, we employ systematic approaches in protecting the environment and preserving natural resources.

Asset Management

Highway Operation

We build road infrastructure on a Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) basis and then apply proven highway operational practices and ISO 9001:2008 certified procedures to maximise returns on these assets. Besides ensuring value for stakeholders, we have the opportunity to turn highways into safe, swift and satisfying routes for millions of highway users, year after year.

Maintenance

Maintenance

Continuous operations with zero downtime – this is our target, and it is made possible with proactive measures aimed at ensuring safety and comfort of our highway users. Class-leading maintenance practices include preventive, routine and ad-hoc maintenance initiatives as well as periodic inspections of all mechanical, structural and environmental elements.

Optimisation

Optimisation

Millions of road users on our highways present a useful opportunity to the broader business community.  Through our Business Development Division, we market and manage well over 100 advertising panels set along strategic locations throughout our major intra-urban highways. When fully optimised, these assets contribute significantly to the financial health of the Group.

Rehabilitation

Rehabilitation

A pleasant journey is possible only when uncompromising standards are applied to maintenance of road surfaces, structures, facilities and conveniences. A journey on our highways should be more than just a commute; it should be an experience that you can enjoy and access on a daily basis. As such, our stringent rehabilitation programmes are carried out regularly and include pavement restoration, gantry and signage cleaning, repainting and replacements.

Upgrade

Upgrade

Technology enhances efficiency. The toll system, variable-message sign (VMS), vehicle detection system (VDS) and close-circuit television (CCTV) are among the newest features installed and in operation. Rest assured, more innovations are in place as we continue to set new benchmarks for the safety and convenience of our highway users.

Current Projects

Damansara-Shah Alam Elevated Expressway (DASH)

Expected completion: 2022

The Damansara-Shah Alam Elevated Expressway (DASH) will bring you a refreshingly smooth driving experience with better connectivity, greater mobility and increased road capacity. DASH spans a distance of 20.1 km with 13 interchanges offering much-needed traffic dispersal alternatives in highly congested areas such as Puncak Perdana, Alam Impian, Alam Suria, Denai Alam, Kampung Melayu Subang, Pinggiran Subang, Subang Dua, Subang Airport, RRIM, Surian, Seksyen 5, Kota Damansara, Sunway Damansara, Damansara Perdana and Penchala.

It will also provide easy access to-and-from Persiaran Mokhtar Dahari, Guthrie Corridor Expressway, Jalan Sungai Buloh, Jalan Lapangan Terbang, Persiaran Surian, New Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE), Damansara-Puchong Expressway (LDP) and Penchala Link.

DASH will complete the Klang Valley ring of highways namely The Penchala Link, Duta-Ulu Kelang Expressway (DUKE), Sungai Besi-Ulu Kelang Elevated Expressway (SUKE), Shah Alam Expressway (KESAS), Lebuhraya Kemuning-Shah Alam (LKSA), Federal Highway and Guthrie Corridor Expressway (GCE).

Travelling time from the start to endpoint will be reduced from 90 minutes to only 17 minutes. Traffic congestion will be drastically reduced along Persiaran Mokhtar Dahari by 39%, Jalan Sungai Buloh by 33% and Persiaran Surian by 43%. As for now in Puncak Perdana, the current traffic congestion is at Persiaran Mokhtar Dahari as it is the primary access to the surrounding developments.

Sungai Besi-Ulu Kelang Elevated Expressway (SUKE)

Expected completion: 2022

Sungai Besi-Ulu Kelang Elevated Expressway (SUKE) is a 24.4km, three-lane, dual-carriageway running from Sri Petaling to Ulu Kelang. It has 14 interchanges and reaches out to over 60 residential areas as well as connects to major highways and roads in Kuala Lumpur.

SUKE is built by Projek Lintasan Sungai Besi-Ulu Klang Sdn. Bhd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Projek Lintasan Kota Holdings Sdn. Bhd. (PROLINTAS). SUKE aims to be a viable alternative to MRR2 by minimising traffic congestion in Cheras, Pandan Indah and Ampang.

Connecting high-density areas closer to everyone, it will promote economic growth and most importantly offer an effective traffic dispersal system. SUKE is expected to reduce 30% of traffic congestion during peak hours on Middle Ring Road 2 (MRR2). SUKE will complete a ring of networked highways and roads in and around Klang Valley as well as the existing Shah Alam Expressway (KESAS), KL-Seremban Highway (KL-SEREMBAN), Sungai Besi Expressway (BESRAYA), Kuala Lumpur Middle Ring Road 2 (MRR2), Cheras-Kajang Highway (CHERAS-KAJANG), Ampang-Kuala Lumpur Elevated Highway (AKLEH) and Duta-Ulu Klang Expressway (DUKE).
